In Liberia...
Through community engagement, our WPT-NECF grantee discovered that local villagers have protected a significant population of Timneh Parrots for decades, viewing them as symbols of safety. With your help, we’re working alongside these communities to safeguard these beloved birds for the long term.

In Aruba...
The Yellow-shouldered Amazon has returned to the wild on Aruba for the first time in 76 years. With local partners, we’re monitoring their reintroduction and restoring native plants as future food sources, giving these parrots the chance to thrive.

In Indonesia...
We helped local partners rescue 60 parrots from illegal trade, which were rehabilitated and returned to their native forests. This past year saw species such as Chattering Lories, White Cockatoos and Red-and-blue Lories seized from illegal traffickers.

In New Zealand...
Kea conservation efforts resulted in a 50% increase in sightings in Nelson Lakes National Park, offering hope for this charismatic alpine parrot. Our collaboration with local partners ensures these birds are monitored, cared for and reintroduced into safe environments.

In West Africa...
Our efforts to combat illegal wildlife trade resulted in multiple successful operations, with hundreds of Grey and Timneh Parrots rescued and relocated to safe sanctuaries. Working within-country partners we also opened a new quarantine and rehabilitation aviary, providing essential care for rescued birds.
